online directory, but wants to see real
results on their advertising
investment.
By taking advantage of this option, you
are provided with an enhanced listing, ensuring that
your establishment is shown at the top of any search
results.
The theory behind this system is very
simple to understand..
How our system works...
The system is fairly easy to understand
and if you have experience of advertising
through the Pay Per Click search engines
such as Overtue, e-spotting,
or Mirago, you may recognise the familiar way this
system works.
- A user comes a long and undertakes
a search for example "London" in the places2eat:
Restaurants category.
- Our search engine searches our
database looking for establishments that have
the keyword "London" registered in their
keyword box.
- Any matching establishments
are then listed with the highest bid at the top
so for example the bid is £0.05.
- If the user likes what they have
read in your description they may visit your details
page by clicking on your establishment name.
- When they click on this link,
you then pay us the amount of your bid, which in
this case would be 5 pence. If they don't click
on the "details" link you don't pay. It
is that simple!
The Process...
As this product forms a comprehensive
part of our featured chains / brands service,
each company will be appointed a corporate
sales account manager. This person will
be available to answer your questions and
help you set up your establishments within
the places2eat-sleep-drink.com online directory.
During initial discussions, an agreed
maximum monthly budget will be negotiated,
this will limit the amount your company
is prepared to spend on advertising with
us.
Upon the opening of your account, we
will deposit funds into your account to
the value of the agreed maximum monthly
budget (AMMB). At the end of each month,
we will then invoice you for the amount
you have spent during that month and then
top up your account, to your AMMB level.
If at any point during that month, you
spend all of the money in your account,
you can either request additional funds
to be added, or your listings can be taken
offline until your account is replenished
to your AMMB level.
Monitoring your account during the
month...
Each company who registers with our featured
chains / brands service is given access
to their own online account.
Through this account you can add, edit,
delete establishments, run reports allowing
you to track the number of clicks each establishment
detail page has received, as well as control
your pay per click rate and run reports
on your monthly spend.
If you wish your corporate account manager
can take control of your account, set your
bidding levels, which control the position
of your establishments within the search
and category results pages, and report back
to you on a weekly or monthly basis. In
effect they look after your advertising
campaign on your behalf.
In order to ensure that we are able to
provide the service whereby our corporate
account managers control your account for
you, there is either a flat monthly fee
or minimum spend requirement. For more details

your requirements.
Your Corporate Account Area...
Control over the bidding element
of your pay per click account is done through
your own corporate account. A brief overview
of the bidding process is outlined below.
Bidding is a fairly simple process,
although it make look fairly complicated to start with.
However we offer a fully comprehensive help system and staff
working from 8 till 8 who are only an e-mail away should
you need any help. When you get used to how the system
works you can always set up the "proxy bidding
system", but more about that later.
To start your bidding follow these
simple instructions...
- Login to your Account,
where you will see a page like this:

- You login using your username
and password.
- If you look in the
top right hand corner you will see the
funds currently in your account.
- First of all select the listing
management.
- Underneath that link
you will see another row of options
appear. Click on the manage links option,
and you'll see a screen like the one
below.

- You are then presented
with a screen with all of the establishments within
your account listed (see image above). You can either edit the listing
details, delete the listing or click on the manage
bids link. By clicking on manage bids, you are directed
to our bidding page.

- From this page you can research
current biding levels by other listings within your
category, on your keywords and much much more.
- There is a fully comprehensive
help guide to help you through your first few bidding
activities, but the concept is fairly easy to understand.
- As our enhanced listing is used
to promote the performance based system, each bid
is set to a minimum of £0.03.
The important thing to remember with
this system, is that it need not be expensive. You only
pay us each time somebody visits a details page from
one of your establishments.
You remain in control all the time about how much you
spend, and if you are spending more than you would like,
then you have the option of transferring your listing
to our fixed fee version at any time.
